Robert Allen Honored
He wrote songs for Perry Como, the Four Lads and Johnny Mathis and last week his he was honored by his home town of Scotia NY with a historic plaque.
Hit songs include Home for the Holidays, Chances Are, Teacher Teacher, Everybody Loves a Lover and If Dreams Came True. In 1963, he wrote the music for and produced "Three Billion Millionaires," a benefit album for the United Nations by Bing Crosby, Judy Garland, Danny Kaye, Sammy Davis Jr., Jack Benny, and Carol Burnett.
