Flint House Barn

Sometimes, before you can build something new, you have to take something else down. This old barn was not an original part of the historic broom corn farm at the Flint House. A few old beams and other pieces have been saved but everything else lacked historical value.

Flint House Barn is coming down.

Summer is coming

The first sign of summer has appeared this week.  Our best known landmark, Jumpin’ Jack’s Drive In opened this week on a warm and sunny day. If you’re new to Scotia, you might want to read my Jumpin’ Jack’s Etiquette guide.

I’m also happy to announce I have approval from the Freedom Park Foundation to post the summer schedule even though all the sponsors haven’t been lined up.  You can see the list of entertainers and start scheduling your summer by going to Freedom Park 2006 Schedule.
