Geese Egg Addling on Scotia Island

As they’ve done for almost 10 years, the Scotia Parks and Recreation Dept. work to reduce the resident Geese population by addling eggs recently laid on Scotia Island in the middle of Collins Lake.
Park staff put themselves in harms way to maintain a safe park.

One of last years geese has returned

This year, volunteers will haze the resident geese in hopes of keeping the park clean for village residents and our visitors. Anyone interested in helping can learn more at http://savethegeese.com/help.html
